Global outsourcing leader Concentrix is significantly scaling up its investments in Egypt by establishing five new operational centers across various provinces and adding 11,000 new jobs over the next two years, aiming to reach a total workforce of 35,000 employees by the end of 2028.
This strategic expansion follows high-level discussions between Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Raafat Hendy, and Amr Sobhy, President of Concentrix Egypt, focusing on driving the local business process outsourcing (BPO) industry and enhancing digital capacity-building initiatives.
The meeting, attended by senior officials from the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Concentrix executives, underscores a mutual commitment to leveraging Egypt’s growing status as a premier global hub for digital services and talent export.
The upcoming expansion aligns closely with a memorandum of understanding signed between Concentrix and ITIDA back in January 2025, which outlines a massive $1 billion investment framework designed to generate a total of 16,000 new job opportunities by 2028.
Minister Raafat Hendy emphasized that the continuous growth and geographical diversification of Concentrix within the Egyptian market directly reflect the country’s highly attractive business environment and advanced digital infrastructure. He also highlighted that the ministry remains dedicated to scaling specialized training programs that align youth skills with international corporate demands, thereby boosting Egypt’s digital exports and providing premium career paths.
According to Amr Sobhy, Concentrix Egypt has experienced exponential growth since its inception in 2009 with just 150 employees, surging to a massive current workforce of 24,000 professionals. This remarkable trajectory positions Egypt as the third-largest operational hub for the global company across 72 countries, trailing only India and the Philippines, while securing its status as the absolute largest in the region.
The company maintains an annual growth rate of roughly 20%, targeting 28,000 employees by the end of this year, 31,000 next year, and ultimately 35,000 within two years, alongside the addition of five new centers expanding deep into the Delta and Upper Egypt regions.
The recent executive meeting also delved into Concentrix’s forward-looking strategies, particularly the integration of artificial intelligence technologies within operations and customer service management. Furthermore, both parties explored deeper collaborations with local universities and technological zones to foster “training-for-employment” initiatives, focusing on technical skills and highly demanded languages like German, French, and Spanish.
Currently, Concentrix Egypt delivers comprehensive BPO and customer management services in 12 different languages to major global markets across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, and South America, supporting vital sectors such as e-commerce, telecommunications, tourism, banking, fintech, healthcare, media, and transportation.
