Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) has invested in Seedra Ventures Fund II, managed by Riyadh-based Seedra Ventures, to expand funding opportunities for technology startups across Saudi Arabia, according to an announcement by SVC and reporting from Inc. Arabia. The investment is aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s venture capital ecosystem by supporting early-stage, high-growth companies in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
The fund will invest in startups operating across artificial intelligence (AI), financial technology (fintech), property technology (proptech), software-as-a-service (SaaS), logistics, and other technology-driven sectors. It is designed to support companies from the pre-seed stage through early growth while providing founders with operational expertise, strategic guidance, and access to Seedra Ventures’ regional network, according to SVC and Wamda.
Noura Al-Sulaiman, CEO of Saudi Venture Capital (SVC), said the investment reflects SVC’s commitment to supporting experienced fund managers focused on financing Saudi entrepreneurs during the earliest stages of their growth. She added that expanding access to specialized venture capital contributes to increasing private sector participation and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Haitham Al-Furaih, Managing Partner at Seedra Ventures, said SVC’s participation, alongside strong investor demand that enabled the fund to exceed its fundraising target, demonstrates confidence in both the Saudi startup ecosystem and Seedra Ventures’ investment strategy. He added that the firm will continue supporting ambitious founders by combining capital with strategic guidance, operational expertise, and access to an extensive network to help startups scale sustainably.
Founded in Riyadh, Seedra Ventures is a venture capital firm and startup accelerator investing in technology startups from the idea stage through later funding rounds. The investment forms part of SVC’s broader strategy of stimulating startup financing by backing venture capital funds and investment vehicles that strengthen Saudi Arabia’s innovation ecosystem.
