Egypt-based digital savings and cashback platform Waffarha has recorded more than EGP 2.65 billion in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) during 2025, reflecting continued growth in consumer adoption and transaction volume, according to figures shared by Founder and CEO Tarek Magdy.
The platform processed over 8.2 million transactions during the period, with more than 1.1 million transacting customers, underscoring Waffarha’s expanding role in Egypt’s consumer-facing digital commerce and savings ecosystem.
The company’s performance highlights the growing demand for value-driven digital platforms as Egyptian consumers increasingly seek tools that help optimize spending across everyday purchases, services, and online transactions. The rising transaction count points to strong repeat usage, while the expanding customer base reflects broader market penetration.
Founded to help users save money through cashback, discounts, and smart purchasing mechanisms, Waffarha has positioned itself as a scalable platform connecting consumers with merchants through data-driven offers and performance-based transactions.
As digital payments, e-commerce, and deal-based platforms continue to gain momentum in Egypt, Waffarha’s latest performance positions the company as one of the country’s growing consumer fintech and commerce-enablement players, with further scale expected as adoption accelerates.
While the company has not disclosed forward-looking projections, Waffarha signaled continued focus on expanding transaction volumes, customer engagement, and platform efficiency in the period ahead.
