eGate Launches MineIQ in Nigeria to Digitize Mining Oversight From Exploration to Export

eGate Technology Group has launched MineIQ, the Nigerian deployment of its mining intelligence platform LoderaIQ, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion of AI-powered mining oversight across Africa, with Essam Al Saghir, Founder and CEO of eGate Technology Group, announcing the platform’s deployment in Nigeria and describing it as an example of “building infrastructure for Africa’s future.” MineIQ is designed to provide real-time oversight of the mining sector, connecting intelligence gathered from exploration and mining sites with the movement of minerals through the supply chain and ultimately to export.

The platform combines satellite and drone intelligence with eGate’s AI capabilities to create a centralized view of mining activity across Nigeria, addressing a longstanding challenge for mining authorities and stakeholders: the difficulty of connecting information across exploration, compliance, site activity, logistics and trade. By bringing these functions together, MineIQ is designed to create a single, auditable chain that can help stakeholders identify mining activity, monitor changes, detect potentially unlicensed operations, and reconcile what is happening on the ground with what is being declared.

MineIQ is built around six interconnected capabilities covering the mining lifecycle: Discover, which uses satellite and drone surveys to map resources and activity; Detect, where AI identifies mining activity, changes and potentially unlicensed sites; Monitor, which provides a centralized command-center view of sites, feeds and dashboards; Track, which uses QR and RFID technologies to establish chain of custody for mineral loads from mine to port; Trade, which connects verified mineral output with marketplace, revenue and settlement functions; and Assure, which creates an auditable layer designed to reconcile observed activity with declared production and movement.

The Nigerian deployment is being delivered in partnership with Milky-Way, eGate’s strategic partner in Nigeria, while Postagy for Mining provides the physical tracking infrastructure for following mineral loads from mines to export ports. According to Al Saghir, combining satellite and drone intelligence, AI and physical supply-chain tracking allows MineIQ to extend visibility beyond individual mining sites and create a connected view of the broader mining ecosystem, effectively linking what is happening on the ground with the movement of minerals through the country’s supply chain.

The launch comes as Nigeria continues to position mining as an important component of its economic diversification strategy, increasing the importance of better visibility into production, mineral movement and compliance. For governments and industry stakeholders, the ability to accurately identify mining activity and follow mineral output through the supply chain can play an important role in protecting royalties, improving accountability and addressing illegal mining.

At its core, MineIQ is built around a simple proposition: see it, track it and verify it. By connecting intelligence from orbit with activity on the ground and movement through the supply chain, eGate aims to give Nigeria a more transparent and data-driven approach to mining oversight, while demonstrating how AI, satellite intelligence, drones and digital tracking can be combined to build new infrastructure for Africa’s natural-resource economy.

eGate Technology Group is a technology company focused on AI, drone and satellite intelligence for mining, logistics and government applications. Its LoderaIQ platform provides the technology foundation behind MineIQ, while the Nigerian deployment brings together eGate, Milky-Way and Postagy for Mining to create an integrated mining oversight system. The platform’s ambition is to connect the mining lifecycle from orbit to point of sale, giving stakeholders a clearer picture of where resources are being extracted, how mining activity is changing, how minerals are moving, and whether declared output aligns with observed activity.
